Brief history:
IMAFP-Cordillera was created as early as 2001 when Lakan Nile Jordan was assigned to Baguio City Airport as one of its air traffic controllers. On January 2004, he was visited by his former and original classmates and senior teachers/masters. The visit was purposely made to conduct advance Tapi-tapi, mano mano, stickfighting techniques. The seminar was attended by mostly advanced instructors coming from different schools, gyms and dojos in Manila. One of the attendees was Herman Pelingen, a native of Cordillera and an acquaintance of Maestro Godofredo Fajardo. Herman insisted on Lakan Jordan teaching in Baguio city and organized five karatekas for the honor of sampling the beauty of Modern Arnis. And so, on February 2004, Lakan Jordan was again back at the fore of teaching and propagating Arnis. Slowly but steadily, the number of members continues to increase beyond the expected turn out.
