The Western Visayas actively promotes Arnis
On September 5, 2005, the IMAFP Iloilo Chapter, led by Guro Rosauro De Leon, held a huge arnis demo at the Western Visayas College of Science and Technology. There were 162 students who participated in this inspiring spectacle. The activity was held as part of their Centennial Celebration program. [Click Here for photos]
The Manila Chapter was at its most active!
The IMAFP Manila Chapter spent the summer with an exciting array of activities which helped promote Modern Arnis, elevated the knowledge and skills of chapter members, and highlighted the use of Modern Arnis against all forms of assault, including defense against domestic violence.
The activities included finalization of qualifying for IMAFP Lakan/Dayang promotions. Seminars were held at the Dept. Of Tourism on June 26-27. On June 30, a very important seminar and exhibition was held at POEA, entitled: "Arnis as Defense Against Domestic Violence".

Seminar in Eastern Visayas
The IMAFP-Sta. Barbara Chapter hosted a special seminar: "Tapi-Tapi Arnis Flow" from August 28-29, 2004. This was followed by weeks of intensified training, particularly for the blackbelts and higher colored belts from the IMAFP chapters in Sta. Barbara and Iloilo. These chapters are now busy promoting Modern Arnis throughout the island of Panay through exhibitions and training seminars.
