Modern Arnis Seminar establishes IMAFP Italy.

In June of this year, Italo Scrocchia flew to Zurich together with his son Mario and student Antonio Cardenas. Their goal was to train with Guro Dayang Edessa Ramos in the Modern Arnis and volunteer to promote the Filipino Martial Arts in Italy. A further goal is to popularize Sport Arnis by organizing tournaments in the near future.

The four-day seminar was intensive. The group stopped only for meals and night rest. In the end the seminar produced fine arnisadores who hold deep appreciation for the art and a long-term commitment to study arnis with passion and dedication. Thus was born IMAFP-Italy. The first task of the group was to make a yearlong training schedule with Guro Ramos and Filipino masters visiting Europe.

Italo Scrocchia is a veteran of the fighting arts in Italy. He is the founder and president of the National Federation Italian Kickboxing (FENIK). FENIK currently represents  two international federations in Italy: USKBA (United States Kick Boxing Association)  and the WKL (World Kickboxing League). FENIK is responsible for a long and vibrant tradition of kickboxin tournaments throughout Italy.
